Frequently Asked Questions for Passengers

Does Dajin Charter Tour have a valid license?

How are driver working hours calculated?

What details should you pay attention to when chartering a car?

What are the different types of insurance?

Daikin has a legal and compliant tourism license, so you can travel with peace of mind!

To ensure passenger safety, Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation and Communications, in accordance with the Labor Standards Act and Transportation Management Regulations, stipulates that drivers' daily working hours shall not exceed twelve hours and driving time shall not exceed ten hours, and that they must have adequate rest time.

The Dajin Exchange reports a daily workday of 10 hours, with the time allocation as follows:

  • The driver takes 1 hour each day to drive the vehicle to the pick-up point.
  • Passenger transport and visitor stay at attractions: 10 hours.
  • After the day's tour, guests return to the pick-up point or hotel, and the driver tidies up the vehicle and lets it rest for one hour.

Tipping the driver is an encouragement for their service; it is not mandatory and should not be included in the fare. ※Some charter operators' fares do not include parking, driver's meals and accommodation, and may even charge tolls separately; these are different pricing methods.

  1. Fuel costs: commonly known as oil expenses.
  2. Toll fees.
  3. Parking Fee.
  4. Passenger insurance.
  5. Driver's salary.
  6. Driver's meal expenses.
  7. Accommodation fees for drivers on overnight trips.

[In-car insurance]

  • Chartering a bus includes passenger insurance, with the insurance amount varying slightly depending on the vehicle.
  • Passenger insurance is a type of "in-vehicle insurance," which means that if a passenger is involved in a traffic accident while in the vehicle, they will be taken to the hospital on the same day and treated until they recover.
  • Passenger insurance does not require an insurance register. If your travel companions drive themselves and are not in the taxi, they are not covered by passenger insurance.

[External vehicle insurance]: Travel liability insurance or travel accident insurance can be purchased as an add-on.

Differences between Travel Liability Insurance and Travel Accident Insurance: 1. Travel Liability Insurance: Only travel agencies can provide this coverage. Travel Accident Insurance: You can purchase it from any insurance company. 2. Premiums: Travel liability insurance premiums are the same for adults and children, while travel accident insurance premiums for children are much cheaper. 3. Coverage: For children under 15 years old, travel accident insurance only covers disability claims, not death claims. The insured party for travel liability insurance is the travel agency, while the insured party for travel accident insurance is the traveler, but the traveler is also covered. When using travel liability insurance, original copies of the diagnosis certificate and medical receipts must be used!

The package tour includes [external vehicle insurance]. You will need to prepare an insurance list, which should include: name, date of birth, and ID number. Please remit and pay the premium before departure.
